What’s one project or installation that stands out as especially memorable? 

This is a hard question; there are so many to choose from throughout the years! One of my favorites was turning an old, cluttered office right off the front of the house into a swanky lounge/bar sitting room. It had old wooden shutters that we removed and added large motorized velvet drapes. Swoon!

How do you approach helping customers choose the perfect window treatment?

I love to start by asking a lot of questions and listening to the customer. My goal is always to meet my customers’ needs by finding the perfect balance of functionality and beauty. 

What product or feature are you most excited about right now?

I LOVE that we can now do a custom drapery with PowerView motorization. The smart home functionality really customizes your space beautifully to meet your specific lighting and privacy needs.

If you could style any room in your home with Austintatious products, what would you choose and why?

The Vignette Duolites are going in my bedroom! They give you privacy and ambient lighting during the day, but with the click of a button, drop a room-darkening roller shade down behind it for a perfect night’s sleep. Give me a sound machine and I am set for the night. 

What trends in window treatments are you loving right now?

DRAPES. They turn drab into fab! It can immediately elevate and transform a space. As a design consultant, we get to be creative with drapes, as the options are endless. 

What do you love most about working with the Austintatious team?

We truly operate like a (functional) family! Most of us have worked at Austintatious for 10+ years, so we work well together to ensure the customer has the best experience.

Go-to coffee order or favorite lunch spot near the office?

I don’t drink much coffee, but nothing starts my day like a mini Coke Zero. I love Santa Catarina for a lunch treat! 

What’s your weekend look like when you’re not working on beautiful homes?

You can usually find me hanging with my husband and our dogs, or being the favorite aunt! I also love to travel. Most recently, I went to Jamaica with my mom and Yellowstone with my husband!
