At Austintatious, we pride ourselves on offering homeowners a personalized service that combines expert advice with cutting-edge window treatment options. Caylin has been with our team for over two and a half years and is one of our Design Consultants. She was previously in childhood education, and now enjoys educating clients and potential clients on the various window treatment options. She has a great sense of design, style, and humor!
What drew you to Austintatious?
Transitioning from the teaching world, and with over 5 years of sales experience, I quickly learned the similarities between fields and the areas I knew I strived in–educating (just with older, bigger kids, AKA adults) and creating personal, lasting relationships. From the moment I stepped through the doors of Austintatious, I immediately felt like part of the family—the kind that lifts you up, encourages you, and supports you through the tough times. The support from every teammate fosters an environment where you can learn, grow, and thrive. Plus, the confidence and genuine expertise this family brings is something I truly can’t overlook.
What is your role at Austintatious?
As a Design Consultant at Austintatious, my role is to guide customers through a range of window treatment options that suit their style and requirements. Whether in the showroom or at a client’s home, my aim is to turn their ideas into reality, from the initial concept to the final installation.
What would you like clients to know about Austintatious?
Here at Austintatious, every individual plays an essential role in our mission to deliver exceptional service and an unforgettable experience to everyone who walks through our doors. To bring your creative ideas to life, we focus on truly listening to your needs.
What is your favorite part of your workday?
When I am in the office, we don’t ever start or end our day without a hug! It sets the tone for each day and gives the feeling that we’re conquering every challenge together as a team. The brain breaks we take always leave us laughing and rejuvenated. We truly are a family!
I’m the kind of person who can walk into a graveyard and leave with three new friends. So, when I’m in the field, my favorite part is connecting with clients on a personal level, making them feel comfortable and at ease working with me.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
To put it lightly, when I am not working, you can find me with a 165 bpm heart rate running down some road (I like to run). I enjoy all things outdoors, especially with my pup Pippa, who absolutely loves hiking trails and swimming. Traveling to visit family and friends, but making sure I am back home in time to teach Sunday School at my church.
What is your favorite thing about being in/near Austin?
My favorite thing about Austin is the endless amount of activities and nature that is readily available to you. Not to mention that Edwards Aquifer is right below us, so a quick dip at Barton Springs is just what everyone needs, even on a hot summer day! The music scene is also right up my alley. I have an ear for every genre, so I love listening to new music.
Where’s your favorite place to eat in Austin?
Oh man, there are so many good places. But if I have to pick one, it would be Lin Asian Bar & Dim Sum. They have the BEST soup dumplings in town. It’s so good, I go every year for my birthday! Make sure you make a reservation if you feel like trying it out!
