We are thrilled to welcome Se’ Myris to the team as our Accountant. Her expertise and dedication are wonderful additions to our team, and we are excited to work alongside her. Please join us in extending a warm welcome by getting to know her better!

What drew you to Austintatious?

I am drawn to this company because its values strongly resonate with my own. I admire the commitment to growth and social responsibility, which aligns perfectly with my passions. I also did a little bit of research before accepting the position, and the client’s testimonies speak volumes about Austintatious’ reputation. I am passionate about numbers and was excited to grow my experience within a new industry, so this company has been the perfect fit as I am passionate about my professional and personal growth. Through conversations I had with a few colleagues, I was able to quickly see that their retention rate was phenomenal in each area of expertise. During the interview process, the culture was highlighted as an area of importance. Considering that I also feel very strongly about workplace culture, I found them to be the perfect fit!

What is your role at Austintatious?

I’m thrilled to share that I serve as the Accountant at Austintatious! In this dynamic role, I get to dive deep into the heart of our financial operations, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. I am responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including overseeing all incoming and outgoing payments. I enjoy supporting the team through different project lifecycles, from assisting with financial planning at the beginning of a project to handling invoicing, payments, and reconciliations as we progress, ensuring that each project is financially closed out smoothly and efficiently.

I find it incredibly fulfilling to contribute to this process, ensuring our design consultants can fully focus on bringing their creative visions to life, inside our clients’ homes and out. It’s always a breath of fresh air to witness their excitement when a project comes together just as

they envisioned.

What would you like clients to know about Austintatious?

I want clients to know that at Austintatious, our entire team works diligently behind the scenes to bring your vision to life. From extensive product training to professionalism and a touch of charisma, we ensure that every step is tailored to you. We prioritize listening to your needs and making sure you’re heard throughout the process. Integrity is at the heart of our company culture—we’re committed to delivering what you truly want and need rather than simply pushing what we want to sell.

What is your favorite part of your workday?

My favorite part of the workday has to be the morning greetings. Our team feels like family, and sometimes, a warm hug is just what you need to start the day. It’s something I look forward to both when I arrive and when I leave. Beyond that, I’d say the office pranks keep things fun. There’s always plenty of laughter as we spend all day keeping things light-hearted and fun, even if that includes a little prank every once in a while. It’s almost impossible to walk into the office without smiling or laughing!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I love spending my time writing and reading. As a huge fan of poetry, tapping into my creative side helps me unwind. Recently, I’ve rediscovered my passion for reading (now that it’s no longer assigned by an instructor!) A couple of books I’ve really enjoyed are Finding Me by Viola Davis and The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama. I’m also a big nature lover, so you’ll often find me exploring the trails around Austin, especially near Town Lake.

What is your favorite thing about being in/near Austin?

What I love most about Austin is its versatility. There’s no single stereotype here—you can see just about anything at any moment, which makes the city feel so dynamic and diverse. This versatility extends beyond the social scene to the natural landscape as well. You can find yourself in areas that are flat and open or surrounded by rolling hills. The scenery is stunning, from the unique architecture to the beautiful trees, making Austin a truly captivating place to be.

Where’s your favorite place to eat in Austin?

Honestly, this is a tough one because Austin has so many great food spots! But if I had to pick, Down South Cajun Eats definitely has my heart. This place is truly amazing! It is owned by twins from New Orleans, and let’s just say they can do some amazing things in the kitchen. They have live music/DJs on the weekends and, in true Austin fashion, an amazing happy hour menu. I’ve only gone for their brunch, but I am dying to try their dinner menu.
