What drew you to Austintatious?

I have been in the window covering business in some form or fashion for 25 years! I actually used to compete against Tracey and Norma when we both were getting started in the early 2000s here in Austin. Then I went to work for a shutter manufacturer, and they became my clients, and we really got to know each other then. I worked with every window covering company from Waco to McAllen as a shutter manufacturers rep and realized that Austintatious Blinds and Shutters was and is the very best in the business. The integrity level and care for their customers is unmatched. I realized then that if you can’t beat them, you sure better join them! And I have never looked back since!

What is your role at Austintatious?

My roles are Sales Consultant and leader, Drapery Expert, Mentor, and Designer-Builder Liaison Specialist.

What would you like clients to know about Austintatious?

After having experience with so many other window covering retailers-Austintatious is truly the best in the business. We care about giving our customers and business partners the very best experience and service. We like to underpromise and overdeliver. We build relationships for the long term! Our goal is to simplify this process as much as possible because choosing what products to place in their homes can be overwhelming, especially if it’s their 1st time buying window coverings.

What is your favorite part of your workday?

Getting to know my clients is truly the best part of my job. I get to make new friends regularly! Also, I love when I get to see firsthand what a difference our installations make in the overall design of the home-custom shades and draperies truly transform a space, and it’s really fun to be a part of that creative aspect!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Traveling with my husband Pete, visiting my daughters in New York and Savannah, and hiking with my dogs!

What is your favorite thing about being in/near Austin?

My husband and I love to see live music, and we really enjoy some of the smaller venues-Stubbs is our favorite venue, but 3Ten ACL is a close second!

Where’s your favorite place to eat in Austin?

Gosh-there are so many good ones-it’s hard to pin down a favorite. I love Jack Allen’s though-the Oak Hill location. The food is great, and the vibe is cool but casual.
